Simitive provide Online Performance Management Systems (i.e. systems to communicate and manage organisational and individual work goals, linking to performance reviews and training). These systems are developed for generic usage in the commercial and public sector. Simitive also provide consultancy, implementation support and technical support around the process of performance management and around the use of the Simitive System.
Simitive wished to develop a new innovative system for the University sector that increases the effectiveness and productivity of teams and individuals, working towards complex and overlapping goals in the academic and non-academic environment. With the project specifically focused on the Higher Education sector, an in depth understanding of the working practices in this environment was required.
Staff at the University of Bristol researched and analysed working practices, establishing the best elements from these and developed a vision of the service that can support these practices in the Higher Education sector. Research and analysis included desk research of academic papers, interviews with staff and senior management and gathering feedback from user groups.
